Kwara politics without Saraki by Yahaya habib

KWARA POLITICS WITHOUT SARAKI, WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPEN?
I will like to make it clear from inception, that I am not a pro nor anti Saraki, but a kwaran that love the state wholeheartedly and want the best for the people.
Have you ever wonder how Kwara politics would have be   after the demise of Pa Olusola Saraki, had it been he did not brought Bukola Saraki as the leader?.Who do you think would have be the political leader in Kwara state having lost the likes of late Admiral Lawal, Gen Karim Adisa, Professor Ogunsola,Kasum etc?.
Pa Olusola Saraki of blessed memory presented his son Bukola Saraki as the candidate to challenge the then incumbent governor of kwara state, Late Admiral Lawal (May Allah forgive him) in the year 2003.
Prior to the 2003 election that brought Bukola Saraki into power, Bukola was not well known, he was not popular, he couldn't lead the way from GRA Ilorin to his family house in Agbaji, he had no friend, no political weight and background, nothing but his father.
Late Lawal being the incumbent governor was powerful, popular and had all it takes to defeat his political godfather, Saraki, who presented his son against him but he couldn't, all because most Kwarans sided with Saraki to oust lawal out of power in a hypocritical way and manner.
Late Lawal would have defeated Bukola Saraki and put an indefinite end to the dynasty but the hypocrisy of some Kwara politicians who wanted to defeat Saraki but couldn't accept anyone especially from a particular region to emerge as the new political leader extircate the opportunity among many other reasons.
Just like in a football team where club manager play important rule and determine how successful the club will be, so as in politics, a political leader is the soul of the party and the determinant of the party's success not even the party chairman.
In Kwara state,Just like Bukola Saraki is the leader of the ruling party, Who is the political leader in the opposition camp?. The answer is No one, but individual opposition politicians for themselves and funny enough they want to win in election. How is that possible?. Divided army can never win any battle.
Kwara politicians need to come together and form a formidable and ball buster opposition party and chose an acceptable, respectable and hunky-dory political leader among themselves, if they really mean the business.
The reality is that, even those in the ruling party would have splitted, divided and cleft without Bukola Saraki as their leader after the death of his father.
What is lacking in kwara politics is a good political leader that will be accepted by all, the leader that will bring all opposition politicians together and lead them to a success, the leader that will be in charge of finance, scrutinize and present good and better candidates to challenge candidates from already established political dynasty.
Last election would have be the opportunity for kwara opposition to triumph but the lack of leadership brought to them heavy blow from the ruling party.
There is no any political leader in kwara state except Saraki, no single one from his camp too, and Saraki refused to build any political leader but followers, that's why it's possible for him to bring his son as the leader.
Kwara opposition must start from looking for a political leader, instead of fighting over political offices, they must learn to swallow their pride and accept their differences only if they want to oust the ruling party.
Looking around Saraki's camp, I see no potential political leader, all I am seeing are one way and greedy followers, no one respect anyone, no one is ready to accept anyone, even Governor Maigida can't lead all the politicians in his government. That's why some idiots are already calling for his son as their next political leader. What a shame.
I challenge kwara politicians to start building themselves as nothing last forever.
Forgive me, if I am wrong.
