MY BIRTHDAY IN TWO WEEKS TIME: LETTER TO MY READERS
Distinguished friends, well-wishers, admirers and critics. How has been your weekend and prepation for tomorrow's work? May Allah paves your way to goodness.
This piece is just to remind you that my birthday comes up in exactly two weeks time (19th March). So, should you've any gift or present to give out to the celebrant, the portal for gifts collection has opened now and will unfailingly closed by 11:59PM of 21st March. Meanwhile, considerations would be given to those who have mouthwatering gifts to donate belatedly but that doesn't mean intending donors should delay their presents for no reason.
It should therefore be noted that I am not having a lavish birthday in reality with the current economic situation. Why should I spend ostentatiously on a day celebration where many are battling with how to put a square meal in their stomachs? More so, this won't be my last birthday, meaning you shouldn't bother to ask for where the fun would take place, when I've become richer like Dangote and have laid everlasting legacies through investment in human and society developments, I'll call you to dine and wine with me just like Ebora Owu.
Furtherance, there is no gift too much or too small to celebrate with me. It can be in cash or material, don't just make it Happy birthday alone. In fact, you will be pardon if you fail to wish me long live so as I receive your donation but not when you dropped nothing.
To my critics, the fact that you don't agree with my style and modus of operandi doesn't exempt you from donating. I'll certainly and specially acknowledged your contribution but if you decide not to celebrate me on my day, don't ever look for my trouble on or before that day with any crazy pen work of yours, otherwise, I'll reset your brain into factory mode with every drop of my pen's ink. To be forewarned is to be foreharmed.
You wish to know why I placed much importance and emphasis on gifts this year more than birthday wishes? I am not blowing my Vuvuzela, I know certainly I've touched some lives positively with the way I use social media, and those who see sense in my posts and others which I share with them have been praying for my longevity and it is manifestation of their prayers that keeps me till date and will keep me for more birthdays celebration. So, donate before you wish me birthday....
