The Main Organizing Committees of the 2017 Senate President Unity Cup Under 20 Boys Soccer Competition were inaugurated in Ilorin yesterday at the Abs Mandate Constituency Office of the *Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.*
In his Welcome Address at the Inauguration, the Chairman Of the Main Organizing Committee, *Alhaji Abdulrauph Abdulsalam*disclosed that the Senate President Unity Cup is designed to explore the office of the Senate President to further promote sports development and potentials in the Country, stressing that it was also meant at discovering the hidden talents among Nigerian youths.
AbdulRauph Maintained that the November 9th 2017 has been scheduled for the arrival of the participants. 10th of November slated for the screening and other documentations of the players while the tournament proper will kick off on the 11th of November at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
He confirmed that the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has approved the organization of the tournament on the 28th of July and it was later endorsed by *Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed* of Kwara State.
He, however, praised the Kwara State Government for their Support And solidarity in anticipation of the hitch free soccer competition.
In his good will messages, the representative of the Senate President at the event, Director General, ABS Mandate Constituency Office, Hon. AbdulWahab Issah, commended the organisers for coming out with the idea of engaging Nigerian Youth Positively as he charged them to stage a befitting tournament.
Also Speaking, Senator Ahmed Ahmed, implored the organising committee and the various sub-committees chairmen and their members to bring their wealth of experience to bear as a football administrators and professionals in organizing such an international football fiesta.
