Emir of llorin sues for unity, peace among Nigerians

The Emir of llorin and Chairman, Kwara Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has urged Nigerians regardless of religion inclinations or tribe to eschew bitterness and embrace peace and unity for more development to be attained.
The Emir, also the chairman, Kwara traditional council made the call on Saturday in a message at the presentation of an award of excellence on a philanthropist, Alhaji Tajudeen lbrahim-Olesin in llorin.
Just Event Online reports that the award which was at the instance of the llorin Emirate Youth Integrity Vanguard attracted several eminent indigines of the llorin emirate.
The monarch, who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant, Alhaji Modibbo Sulu-Gambari noted that no meaningful development could be attained in an atmosphere of chaos and acrimony or violence.
He advised Nigerians to shun all acts capable of retarding the progress of the country and always think positively on how to contribute to the economic growth and development of the nation
The royal father advised Youths to shun destructive tendencies and always think how to contribute their quotas to the development of the country
Sulu-Gambari advised wealthy Nigerians to always complement government effort towards ensuring well-being of the citizens by assisting the less privileged in the society.
The traditional ruler commended the vanguard for recognising individuals, who are contributing their quotas to the development of the society and urged similar associations to emulate the association.
In his remark, the Makama of llorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Oniye called on wealth indigenes of the llorin emirate to always assist the less privileged in their areas as a way of complimenting Government effort towards eliminating poverty.
The founder of the llorin emirate youth integrity Vanguard, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Aiyelabegan, said the association was non-political aimed at ensuring actualisation of new social rebirth among Youths in the llorin emirate.
He said the Vanguard would continue to recognise and honour individuals regardless of their origin, who contribute their quotas to peace and development of the state.
