The Executive Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government on Tuesday, presented the 2019 Appropriation Bill of N3.08 billion to the Legislative House of the Council.
Omodara made the presentation on the floor of the house during plenary. The Chairman said that the Appropriation Bill was christened: “Budget of Hope’’, stressing that it should be considered a collective vision of the government and the governed.
She listed the sources of revenue in which the council hoped to realise the funds from Federal Allocation, Tax, Non-Tax, Rents, Domestic Borrowing among others. She said that in order to actualize the feat, the council under her leadership will continue to strive hard to ensure better delivery of services.
Hajia Omodara used the medium to appreciate the Legislative House for their robust cooperation which has placed her administration in front line among equals.
The Speaker, Honourable Murtala Ayo Ibrahim, commended the Chairman for the submission of the budget despite several hurdles. Muritala urged the Chairman to set priority for the implementation of the Appropriation to avoid rendering budget as a mere annual ritual.
The Speaker equally assured the Executive of speedy passage of the bill for the benefit of all.
Closing the presentation, Director of Personnel of the Council, Alhaji Ayinde Adebayo lauded the Legislators for their support which has aided the smooth running of the administration, while the Council Legal Adviser, Hajia S.I. Mohammed offered the closing prayer to end the session.
