To many of us here today, this is a solemn and memorable occasion, yet in any democracy as
the KWASU Alumni Association, it is only a common occurrence. The orderly transition of authority
which we are witnessing here today, is craved for in many associations yet somehow it gets to elude
them. Just as the wise old saying goes, 'Agbara'n yo 'ni bi oti' (Power intoxicates one like wine), this is
why whenever there is an harmonious transition of authority we must be grateful to the giver of wisdom

Association. Although he has his critics, which is what differentiates democracy for tyranny, the
manner in which he led the association lives no iota of doubt in my mind that there couldn't have been a
better pioneering President of our great association. He is friend, brother and leader, not just to the
members of the Alumni Association, but also to prospective members of the association. I wish we

Winter is coming my dear friends. And when winter comes, the lone wolf dies and the wolves in pack will survive. Now I know we don't have winters in Nigeria, but my people, as we forge further in life,
