A Kwara based sociopolitical movement, *O2 Liberation Movement* has felicitated with the new governor of Kwara State, *Abdulrahman Abdulrazak* on his inauguration as the 4th elected governor of the State since the return of democracy in 1999.
This was much contained in a congratulatory message sent to the press by the group, jointly signed by its chairman *Alh. Hassan Owoyale* and the Director of Media and Publicity, *Bolaji Aladie* wherein they expressed optimism that the new administration led by Abdulrahman Abdulrazak will work for Kwarans and shame the naysayers.
According to the message, "It is with great joy with no measure that we felicitate with the good people of our dear State on the reality of having a government of our own we have been much desired before the election of Abdulrahman Abdulrazak as the captain to drive our dear State to an enviable horizon we ought to have been."
"We feel relieved that our yearning for a Kwara that will work for Kwarans has eventually yielded fruition with coming on board of the new set of administrators contrast to what we have been confined to over the last 16 years that came to an end today."
"Particularly, we felicitate with *His Excellency, Abdulrahman Abdulrasak* who has statutorily became our governor henceforward at least till year 2023. He needs to be conscious of the fact that Kwarans reposed so much confidence in him, that is why they found him worthy of their mandates. We hereby call on him to justify the confidence by delivering on his duties and responsibilities to the good people of the State as promised in his manifesto."
"While we acknowledged that the expectations are high and the tasks are very enormous considering the fact that the situation of things in the State are in ebb and deplorable conditions, we still believe with his experience as an astute businessman, successes as private individual, connections with influential personalities across the world and readiness to work and bring on board resourceful Kwarans from far and near, it won't be very long before he turns things around to positive and change the melancholy in the lips of Kwarans to song of praise."
"We therefore urge him to among many of his people-oriented policies, prioritize and give premium to the welfare of the citizens especially the youths and womenfolk. He must ensure that the youths are productively engaged in order to harness their potentialities for the benefit of the State. He should at the same time be wary of the fortune-seekers, sycophants and Napoleon is always right that will be lurking around him now that he has power and paraphernalia of authority. He should however make sure he operate open door policy and seek collaborations towards blazing tread of a new glorious Kwara that will be toast of the world."
