His statement read: "It is with abrupt shock that I received the news of the death of the mother that birthed the paramount ruler of Ilorin and its environs this evening, as shocking as it is, we have to be grateful that our highly revered mother passed on during an auspicious moment - completion of Ramadan.

He added: "I use this medium not just to send my condolence to the Maimartaba of Ilorin, but Ilorites and indeed all Kwarans in extension, for this irreplaceable loss, at a time when there are few elders around, her elderly advice and experience would have gone a long way in maintaining stability in the State.

"Alhaja Nma as I fondly call her, is a mother for all and sundry, she's well versed in the teachings of Islam, and a rich bank of ideas. I therefore urge all indigenes and lovers of Ilorin Emirate to say a prayer for our mother, may she find a space amongst those Allah (S.W.T) has favoured, may He be pleased with her worldly doings, and may Al-janah be her place of abode, the statement concluded.
