SENATE PRESIDENT: THE END OF A TYRANT TIGER AND THE EMERGENCE OF A PATIENT DOG - Abdullahi

SENATE PRESIDENT: THE END OF A TYRANT TIGER AND THE EMERGENCE OF A PATIENT DOG

I have written several articles about d tyrannical attitude of our beloved BabaAdíní (custodian of d religion) and I pledged within me to allow d sleeping cat lie, but my keyboard will not allow me especially whenever there is opportunity to inform n enlighten people on issues dt facilitated his fall.

Bukola Saraki is always addressed as a leader of modern politics in Nigeria until people of d Kwara Central decided his faith some three months back. Even after his loss at d poll, d injured tiger was still wailing his tail trying to announce its relevance instead of nursing d wound. What did I mean by this, barely 3 weeks after d electorates rejected n denied him their representation, ABS came out with a purported letter of appointment from an European agency employing him as an "Ambassador-at-Larger". News went round d whole state about d kangaroo appointment n just in a twinkle of an eye, we heard dt d appointment was revoked. At d break of d news I did not know whether to cry or to laugh, all I could do at dt point was to shake my head in a pathetic manner n ask myself, must Saraki always buy relevance? even when it is clear dt he is less significant

The assertion above is what lead me to d topic of today's writeup *"THE END OF A TYRANT TIGER AND THE EMERGENCE OF A PATIENT DOG"* I can vividly still remember d scenario dt played out during d inauguration of d 8th Assembly where Bukola Saraki connived with d opposition to clinch d Senate President position against d choice of d party n d president. I will not bore d readers with what happened afterwards because we are all witness to d events of d aftermath of d ugly scene.

Despite all dt what happened, d party still extended a hand of working relationship to Saraki but his egotistical n "dispeakable" attitude still remain part of him as he neglected d party's proposal of making Ahmed Lawan d Senate Leader but went on to announce Ndume afterwards. Tho dy later fell apart, that's when a lot of us thought he would learn his lesson but he did not seems to be a good student of history, he kept fighting on.

To some of us who know him a little, we knew his target was to become d president, ds was d sole reason he perennially engaged d executive with continues fights at least to discredit d integrity of d govt in order to pave an easy route for his emergence as d party's candidate n subsequently becoming d president.

When it became obvious dt PMB will run for d second term, he quickly swing to d second viable party, d party which he has secretly being romancing before he eventually join. Prior to his decamping, he has already sent all his footsoldiers both in d national assembly n also in various states to go n be identified with d party in order to make his decamping a laudable one but unfortunately, his decamping was welcomed with threat of impeachment from d ruling party senate caucus, ds scared him so much so dt he has to shutdown d entire legislative exercise for about three months, even when he finally opened it, d vipers blowing his trumpet for removal has not retire their plans despite by then he has already lost d ticket of d PDP to Atiku who beat him hands down to a distance of third after Tambuwal. His woeful performance at d Port Harcourt convention was a blue light signal to d presidency n d entire APC family because it was believed dt d loss was a litmus test to confirm dt his popularity was fast eroding.

The general elections of March 16th finally sank him politically while dt of March 9th buried d political affluence of dt of his dynasty alongside his own because all of his boys who ran for one political office or another lost comprehensively. There were jubilation along d streets of d major cities across d state especially in Offa n Ilorin. This marks d beginning of his political end.

Today, history was made, d gentle man Ahmed Lawan was elected d Senate President inside d hollow chamber of d NASS n something surprised me, "Saraki was nowhere to be found" even d ordinary Dino Melaye dt one would have tot would not make it to d 9th Assembly was gentle seated somewhere in d hall but Saraki who walked n acted as if everything depends on him probably watched d event on TV just like u n I. What an end for a tyrannic leader

*who closed every door against our budget*

*who fought EFCC n its boss because he was being investigated for alleged fraud*

*who fought Custom boss because he was questioned over SUV's whose duties were not paid*

*who passed votes of no confidence on IGP severely because he was asked to explain his roles in Offa robbery*

Oh what a end...

For Ahmed Lawan, I say congratulations! certainly, d patient dog has come around to eat d fattest bone. My sole advise for him is to put d interest of ds country first in everything he plan to do.

God Bless PMB

God Bless FRN
