Exclusive : How Ondo Citizen Rector of Aviation College Ilorin is Squandering college funds
We wish to call the attention of the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji AbdurRahman AbdurRazaq to the misdemeanors being perpetrated by Mr. Adeyileka Benedict Oluwole, the rector of Kwara International Aviation College, Ilorin.
The rector who was appointed by the previous administration despite his inefficient and lack of prudence at NCAA where he acted for 6months as DG. He was however rejected in unison by NCAA management due to the maladministration that overshadowed his time as acting DG. Albeit, he seems not to have learned his lessons and has continued to tow the same line in managing KIAC. The rector has since his appointment served as drainage to drain Kwara's unavailable funds by his poor administrative management of KIAC.
On August, 2018 the rector laid off staff of KIAC on the basis of financial constraint but it is unfortunate to see him recruiting new staff members which has even increased the amount being used to settle salaries. The newly employed staff members are found out to be his friends and families' wards, as the hope of recalling the laid-off workers is vanishing into the thin air.
The Ondo-citizen rector who had been extravagant in spending the college's fund is still living in a hotel for almost a year. That is uneconomical and unacceptable. Despite the provision of a befitting accommodation by the college, he chose to squander Kwara govt money on settling his hotel bills.
We therefore urge Alhaji AbdurRahman AbdurRazaq through his Chief of staff to look into this maladministration going on at the college. Also, we recommend that the rector should leave his hotel for the accommodation being provided by the college (except he chooses to settle his hotel bills with his personal money). He should also be mandated to recall the laid-off staff instead of recruiting new staff.
We would like the governor and chief of staff to be proactive in correcting this anomaly as we are privy to the fact that the rector his exhibiting a romantic relationship with the deputy governor, Mr Alabi.
