DURBAR MESSAGE
Ultimately, today gives us a new opportunity to thank God for His untiring and Majestic duties on the sustenance of our daily lives and livings. Equally, this day has come with sufficient reasons to appreciate and embrace ourselves as brothers and sisters of the Emirate regardless of whom we are individually and where we belong politically.
Without paying little or no attention to our differences, and other parochial consideration, this unique cultural activity has tended to renew our tireless devotion, diligent enthusiasm and unbridled passions for ourselves as symbols of peace and harmony the Emirate has long been known for. The Ilorin of today is a testimony of the peace, tolerance, love and unity which generations before us strongly exercised. Thus, we must be steadfast in our dealings so as to ensure that generations after us enjoy same privilege.
While I congratulate every single person, indigents, residents, friends and well wishers on the beautiful occasion of the Durbar Celebration, I equally want to enjoin us to make the peace and progress of Ilorin, Kwara and Nigeria at large a collective responsibility of everyone. Let us all invest our blood and sweat in ensuring that the love amongst ourselves is not cheaply sold for a mess of porridge. We all should remember people excel and learn, not because they are told to, but because they want to. Our willingness to make thing work right matters a lot.
Bark de Sallah
Emirate for Number One, Inshaa Allah
Emirate is Already Number One, Alhamdulillah Faa.
*Signed*
*Hon. Abdulwahab Oladimeji Issa.*
