Eid L Kabir : Wahab Isa Advocates for Peace, tolerance and good Governance

EID IL KABIR: WAHAB ISSA FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM FAITHFULS.

*Advocates Peace, Unity, Tolerance As Prerequisite For Good Governance, National Development

A former Member of the Federal House of Representatives, Honorable Abdulwahab Oladimeji Issa has felicitated with Muslims faithfuls across the world on the occasion of the Eid-Il-Kabir Festival, advocating for unending peace, unity and tolerance among people of different ethnic, tribal, political and religious backgrounds as prerequisites for good governance and national development.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Media Office of the former Federal Lawmaker, stressing that the season has come with abundant opportunities and offers for everyone to move closer to God with fervent supplications for the betterment of lives and livings and the progress of Nigeria as a nation, which has seriously being confronted with numbers of security, political and economic challenges.

Hon. Wahab Issa called on well meaning Nigerians to distance selves from sentimental issues, deeds and actions that could trigger disorderliness of any kind, stating that the recessive conditions of Nigeria's economy, unproductive political configurations and unimaginable threats to her security architecture could be traced to the unneeded recurrent domestic conflicts that have unavoidably allowed indigents never to tolerate themselves based on some parochial considerations.

"Nigerians at this stage of our development, from every corner must rise above unnecessary sentimental analysis of topical issues of national interests, work assiduously together to attain peace and accept ourselves as brothers and sisters of a single political entity. A society where there's no peace, there certainly won't be development, and this means there will always be setbacks in every policy made towards poverty eradication and employment opportunity which have undeniably tend to be the major issues in the World most Populous Black nation." He added.

The philanthropist congratulated Kwarans, most especially the good people of Ilorin for witnessing another Eid Il Kabir festival in good mood, charging them to always imbibe the Holy Prophet's injunctions of piety, honesty, equity and generosity towards the less privileged.

He congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, His Eminence Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, the Baloguns, Imams, Mogajis, Alaguas and other reputable sons and daughters of the Ilorin Emirate as they are preparing to celebrate a new edition of the Durbar festival, charging them to utilise the opportunity to rebuild relationships which political affairs have destroyed few months ago.

"Let me quickly remind us that Ilorin is known for peace, harmony and tranquility. The 2019 elections have come and been sent packing, thus we shouldn't allow our conscience to be impure by the filths and hatred that trail the electoral exercises. I will however advice that we remain resolute and collectively commit ourselves more to the sustenance of democracy and political stability which are essential prerequisites for the advancement of good governance, inclusive economic growth and rapid development."
