100days in Office : Gov AbdulRazaq yet to Heal our Wounds despite our support in Poll  - Teacher's Forum

PRESS RELEASE
TEACHERS IMPACT TOWARDS THE SUCCESS OF THIS GOVERNMENT AT THE POLL

The Emirate Teachers Forum is using this medium to appreciate the laudable achievement of our able and humble Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his 100 days in office; we must also commend the good work of the NUT Chairman in person of Comrade Toyin Soliu for indefatigable efforts toward the teachers welfare

We must commend the effort of the Governor for the fact that within this short period he has been able to touch vital areas like Health, Roads, Water and paying of counterpart fund to UBEC. He deserve our Unreserved Commendation for Paying us full Salary since his inception in Office,

For these and other reasons we are very much optimistic that this government meant well for Kwarans. That is why we are bringing the plight of Kwara State teachers to his attention which they are as follows:

1, Imagine the fate of retired teachers that taught Doctors,
Lawyers,
Engineers,
Politicians to mention but few, who live a miserable life due to non payment of his gratuity as at when due

2, School learning Environment is not Conducive in most schools in Kwara State.

3, No training and retraining for teachers in other to build their capacity.

4, Backlog of salary arrears of three months and 58%. Which previous Administration refuse to pay
5, Annual leave bonus should be revisited as well as regular promotion.

Moreover we expect His Excellency to speak on the issue of N18, 000 minimum wage as well as negotiation going on N30, 000 which is part of his campaign promises.

We believe His Excellency is a listening Governor, therefore we urge him to please consider SUBEB teachers as we pray for divine guidance and wisdom for him to be able to pilot the affairs of  this state to the promise land.

No teacher no nation

God Bless Kwara!
God Bless Federal Republic of Nigeria!!
