Editorial Opinion: Flood, water now wear troublesome attire and giving huge nock- Isiaq Murtala Kayode (OMIK)

Water is a polar inorganic temperature. A tasteless chemical substance which is the main constituent of earth. And dis-management of this resource is banking lot of challenges and proliferating economy downtrodden.
Water that has been a blessing to every homes through uses, is now wearing a troublesome attire and giving everybody a huge nock.
Instead of giving us an hygienic health, our environment has turn to be an occupants of flood where thousands of lives and properties have been recorded lost.
Who is to blame? This should be a question of all us because we are all beneficiary of this menace.
We need to stand gigantically on our feet to fight it back, because no one can withstand its consequences. This challenge may seem like end of time if provider of apparatus fail to suppress the tension.
Government at all levels, agencies, companies, as well as philanthropists need to re-strategise efforts to avert the wavery problem by applying :-
1- CLIMATE CHANGE: Its the reason behind the extreme in weather conditions.
2- GOOD TOWN PLANNING: its very essential to have a good layout that will prevent blockage of water.
3- VEGETATION: Government should resist those that are cutting tree. The loss of tree and vegetation in strategic areas exacerbate what damage can flood cause. Tree shrub and grass help areas.
4- BASINS: in area where there is severe flooding, basins should be install near water as a temporary receptacle flood water.
Its our collective efforts, no one should fold his/her harms. If we fail to fight it together, it will definitely fight us.
