The world's Youngest Grandmother who was 17yrs old, Is a Nigerian

Meet the world's youngest grandmother which was 17 years old, She's a Nigerian

Mum-Zi became a first-time mom in
December 1884 at the very young age of
eight years and four months old when she
gave birth to a baby girl.
Mum-Zi was a
member of Chief Akkiri's harem in Calabar,
and he also happened to be the father of
Mum-Zi's baby girl.

She was from Nigeria, on
an island that used to be called Akwa Akpa, which is now called the city of Calabar. Mum-
Zi's own daughter followed in her mom's
footsteps and became a mother when she was
only a little older than her own mom, at just 9-
years-old. In Mum-Zi's day, ancient traditions
such as marrying off children were way more
common than they are today.

It's crazy to
think of becoming a mom at such a young age.
