The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Dr. Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe has expressed optimism that despite all the odds threatening the oneness and greatness of Nigeria, the Africa most populous nation will overcome the challenges and regain her dwindling glories in the comity of Nations.
The message of hope was much contain in his goodwill message to the good people of Nigeria and members of his constituency to mark the occasion of Nigeria's 59th independence anniversary.
Oloriegbe, the chairman Senate Committee on Health, expressed that... "today marks 59th year that the labour of our founding fathers yielded desired result. Theirs, in unison with no recourse to the cleavages that part them, was labour to get us freedom from external control and influence. They believed with our God-given endowments, human and materials resources, we have what it takes to stand on our own to build a virile community that will be envy of her contemporaries.
"Over these years, we've had our ups and downs, our moments of cheers and sobers, our times of laughs and griefs, however against all odds threatening our survival, with resilience, we have demonstrated to be unbreakable.
"I want to use this auspicious occasion to preach this message of hope that we shall overcome; no matter the gravity and enormousness of our challenges, we shall always weather the storms and come back stronger.
"I hereby use this medium to felicitate with all Nigerians and most importantly, the good people of my constituency for their show of love and supports since we got their mandate to represent and speak in favour of their interest.
