I WON'T REST UNTIL KWARANS ARE HEALTHY - KWST GOV

In a bid to achieve hygienic environment, the kwara state government under the supervision of Ministry of Environment and Forestry, embark on erection of public toilets in some of strategic areas across the state.
Speaking at the event to Just Event Online, the permanent secretary ministry of environment and forestry Alhaji Ali Ameen disclosed that the initiative is targeting the United Nations 2025 programme tagged ROAD TO OPEN DEFACATION which kwara is also hustling to be the number one in the area of clean and green environment
He said the programme is part of the campaign promises of the executive governor of the state Alh AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq to create conducive and good atmosphere not only for kwarans but the entire people living in the state
Alh Ali Ameen said over four hundred toilets will be build within ilorin metropolis and ten at each local government across the state
While commissioning the toilet at ile Aberi, sawmill and garage offa, the perm sec appealed to the residents to maintain the resources and informed them that a committee will be constitute to monitor the state affairs of the toilet.
Also speaking, Mr Kayode Oyin Subair thanked the state government for the initiative saying such project will go along way in curbing an ancient practice that had been causing different disease like typhoid, diarrhea, cholera, intestinal worm infections and among others.
He said a serious government will not allow his people dying as a result of disease that can be easily cure, hailed the giant strive of Governor AbdulRahman in fighting issue that has been challenging health care of kwarans
He expressed optimism that the provision of the three toilets is a sign that the well being of Kwarans is paramount on the heart of the state governor
