Kwara State government commence sacking of teachers in the state

Kwara state State Universal Basic Education Board (KWASUBEB) begins sacking of unprofessional teachers from service in order to redeem the image of education

Couples of months back you'll recall Kwara state government conducted a screening exercise for all civil servants and staffers of Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) inclusive

Last week Deputy Chairman of the State Assembly’s Committee on Education and Human Capital Development, Hon Olumide Awolola, on Friday hinted that teachers without professional qualifications would be annihilated from the system before the year runs out.

A copy of Disengagement letter issued to the affected teachers was sent by anonymous to this medium for publication

Below is the content of the letter signed by Z J Baba Permanent Secretary

LETTER OF TERMINATION OF APPOINTMENT

1. Please recall that in the recently conducted screening exercise, it was discovered that you do not have the prerequisite qualification to be employed as a teacher.
2. The National Council on Education has made it explicit that such can nolonger be condoled in the Education sector.

3. Premised upon the foregoing, I am directed to inform you that your appointment is hereby terminated. with immediate effect.
