Kwara, a multi-tribes state was created  on 27 May 1967, when the Federal Military Government of General Yakubu Gowon broke the four regions that then constituted the Federation of Nigeria into 12 states.

The state of harmony is not extrageneous because of its links to both northern and southern part of the country, though geographically, the state belongs to North.

Presently, the state population hang between 3m to 3.1 according to the statistics available.

Since the inception of the state,  numerous development both human and infrastructure have been surfacing.

However, the endowed benefits are chairing the daily challenges that's rocking the well-being of the citizen.

Today's Just Events Online  editorial piece will focus on TRAFFIC: The causes, and the management.

There's no doubt that the peaceful atmosphere of the state is attracting people of diverse states to stay permanently or establishing their businesses which are the major factors that's increasing its population yearly but governments' imbecilitate towards provision of traffic management is affecting well-being of its citizens

The road artectiteture is not motorable for users and the non chalant attitude of the motorists that had been compounding public nuisances like double parking, road trading, blockage of roads for ceremony, abandon damaged vehicle on the road etc that's causing serious havoc such as unwanted death, accident, stoppage of emergency vehicle due to gridlock of traffic.

The aforementioned menace needs authorities' urgent attention as kwara state is driving towards business heaven because of the new steps taking by the present administration.

The lawmakers need to enact law that will be dealing with the road offenders and also the road managers and traffickers should embark on sensitization in order to avert incessant chaos causing by road users.
