Stop Harassing Female Students: Group urge Lecturers,  lauds National Assemby on bill to deal with culprit.

The 2007 Class of Electronic and Electrical Engineering of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso, Oyo state has called out concerned lecturers of various institutions of learning to stop victimization of female students in the form of exchange of sex for marks.

This was made known at the biennial Class Reunion held at the University of Ibadan Zoological Garden on Saturday December 7th, 2019.

The class members in their different statements shared some experience of their female counterparts with some of their lecturers during their University days. The group consequently noted that it is imperative to add their voice in curbing the menace at this critical time in our education system.

Speaking at the event, the Class Event Coordinator; Com. Olabanji Lawal lauds the National Assembly and the Oyo State House of Assembly for putting in place a bill that will help mitigate the menace and deal with offenders.

In a bid to help victims across various institutions of learning, the 2007 class of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso, Oyo state have opened a Facebook page 'saynotosexforgrades' with the url: www.facebook.com/saynotosexforgrades to help victims to tell related stories of such heinous events in their various institution of learning and to assist victims of sexual harassment in getting through with their challenges.

The maiden edition of the class Reunion was held in Lagos in December 2017 to mark the 10th anniversary of their graduation while the 12th year anniversary was held  on December 7th 2019 in Ibadan.

The class Reunion gives opportunity for members to relate again and share old memories after 12 years of graduation.
