BBI calls for active volunteers and SDGs Campus Ambassadors in communities and learning institutions



Brain Builders International (BBI) today calls for active volunteers in the 774 local government area of the federation. This is to create strong tentacles for its localising the SDGs projects, a project aimed at taking SDGs knowledge to the grassroots and ensuring that every one is a part of the mission to the sustainability of people, planet and prosperity.

In addition to that, the civic society also want to impress citizenship responsibility onto the undergraduates of higher institutions by creating the SDGs Campus Ambassador where undergraduates can also be a part of the initiative. Their specific roles will be to organise town halls and events to enlighten their counterparts of the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals.

According to the press released by the organisation, the benefits of joining the BBI SDGs Volunteers and Campus Ambassador are to connect with like minded fellows, advance your career, improve your self-esteem and improve your professional experience to mention a few.

They also stated the following requirements. Saying the expect applicants to posses excellent communication skills, willingness to be familiar with the SDGs, solid leadership skills, interpersonal skills and commitment to community development.

The Executive Director of Brain Builders International, Mr Abideen Olasupo while charging youth to sign up on the programme noted that 2020 is a gear of decades of action and as such; youth must be in the forefront of championing the SDGs.

In the same vein, the head of SDGs program at BBI, Mr Sodiq Ajala, iterated that "Brain Builders International (BBI), is a youth-based non-profit making and non-governmental organisation that promotes civic engagement and peaceful political participation, youth entrepreneurship and empowerment project, youth participation in community development, education development programme, human rights, and good governance."
