5000 Kwarans to be Empowered; Patigi and Four Other LGAs Benefitted.

FG in their bid to reduce unemployment and consequently eradicate poverty among the teeming nigerian youths have begun empowerment for Kwara youths through the office of National Directorate of Employment. A total of 5000 (Five thousand) Kwarans stand the chance to benefit from the scheme with beneficiaries selectively picked from five Local Government Areas from the state.
The selected LG for this batch of the scheme are Ilorin South, Ilorin East, Patigi, Kaiama and Irepodun. A thousand indigents of each of these LGs would be beneficiaries.
Official from NDE made it known today at the body's orientation for prospective beneficiaries that the prospective beneficiaries would be earning a monthly stipend of #20,000 throughout their course of service. The beneficiaries would however work as social workers within their community.
The scheme is targeted at reducing endemic social vices among youths due to high rate of unemployment.
This batch would be commencing by 2nd of March, 2020 with supervisors from NDE for monitoring.
