The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club, popular known as ABS FC, is one of the modern football clubs that had been promoting grassroot football enthusiasts, talents irrespective of their status.
The Ilorin based football club's role in the history of Nigeria football promotion can not be overlooked because of its roles in elevating talented players cross board. The Chukwuemeka led football club had produced best players that had represented Nigeria in both local and international games.
However, in a bit to compliment, support and encourage promising players, the management of the team (ABSFC) had been on ground since the beginning of the Nigeria Polytechnics Games tagged NIPOGA2020 to discover more talents that will be representing not only their team but the entire clubs in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the ace scout of the team had picked IBRAHIM KUNLE of Kwara Poly for trial at the just concluded 20th edition of NIPOGA host by Kwara State Polytechnics, Ilorin.
Confirming the authenticity of the development, the ABS spokesman, Mr Yinka Owolewa said the player was discovered during the final match between the hosting institution and Nuhu Bamali of Zaria.
Reacting to the development, the luck player Ibrahim Kunle thanked the management of ABS football club for the opportunity and promised to work hard to wear the team jersey.
He also said; "The announcement of my selection to join one of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club came as a shock and I glorify Almighty Allah for that." He disclosed that he has been the supporter of the team even before they renamed it from Bukola babes to Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club in 2011.
The promising player also thanked the school management, coach, teammates and supporters' club for their cooperation, acknowledging the new task to team work and describing it as a dream comes true.
