Commission has given A 90-day notice to all
interested political parties who want to
participate in the local government elections,
scheduled to hold on February 15, 2017.
The Chairman of the Commission, Caleb Maina,
disclosed this during a meeting with concerned
individuals and political parties in the state on
Monday.
He urged the political parties to conduct their
primary elections within the timeframe.
“I also call on the leadership of the all political
parties that intend to contest this election to
impress on their members and supporters to
ensure that the state witness peace during their
campaigns, primaries, election proper and
thereafter,” he said.
