35-year-old man identified as, Olatubosun Soyelu has been charged by the Igbosere Magistrate court after been accused of stealing 1,089 bags of rice worth N6.5m.

The young man, who was reported to be facing a two-count charge for alleged theft and conspiracy, went away with 1,089 bags of rice belonging to Christlieb Plc and Brands Capital Ltd. However, he pleaded not guilty and was granted a N500,000 bail by Magistrate Mrs O. Martins.

 reported that, Olatubosun Soyelu committed the crime between February and June, 2016 at Block G, Sura Shopping Complex, Simpson Street, Lagos.
