Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the
young USA international, with Jurgen Klopp
working alongside him in his final months in
charge at the Westfalenstadion, but they’ve
been unsuccessful in their pursuit thus far,
seeing an £11 million bid rejected last summer
by Dortmund.
The Reds have retained their interest though,
with Klopp looking to bring in attacking
reinforcements in the January transfer window,
as they try to keep pace in the Premier League
title-race this season. However Dortmund have
other ideas, as Pulisic continues to develop
under the tutelage of Thomas Tuchel in the
Bundesliga.
Sporting director Zorc has outlined the German
giants’ intentions to keep the 18-year-old at the
Westfalenstadion for the long-term, while
dismissing Liverpool’s reported interest.
“We have communicated very clearly that we
won’t sell Christian and that he’s very much
part of our plans,” Zorc told Bild (via the
Liverpool Echo). “Liverpool don’t need to waste
their time.”
