PASAN to hold President Buhari , NASS in to Ransom Next Week
The stage is now set and decorated as the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) ready to padlock activities of the Senate and House of Representatives which will also diametric the 2019 Budget presentation by President Mohammedu Buhari slated for Wednesday next week.
The stands of the union springs up at an emergency meeting of the association today where lots of aggrieve staff were clamouring for better welfare.
The leadership of the union said the proposed lock down activities of the both chambers will serve as a bridge builder, saying the authorities had been raping them on their right since.
They disclosed that the industrial action will commence on Monday and ends on Wednesday before the commencement of indefinite strike, if tangible intervention did not surface from the appropriate quarters to overside the movement
It would be recalled that, the union staged action of picketing on Tuesday 3rd December where almost 75% of lawmakers including Deputy Senate President denied entrance to the Senate Building where Senate President Doctor Bukola Saraki later promised them of their quick intervention latest Friday last week.
According to a source close to the upper house said the Senate President had immediately constituted a committee that will look into labour's demands and had since resolved on the conditions of service and work composition saying that the other demands like 28% increment, promotion arrears & conversion and warm cloth allowance are the responsibility of the management
