YOUTHS CAN BE MORE THAN THUGS; LET'S MAINTAIN PEACE AND UNITY.

Has shown his Displeasure over the recent Political Crises in Some Areas of Ilorin and Kwara
It came to me as a surprise when the news of the attack on my family house was communicated to me, more shocking was the fact that it's becoming often. I wouldn't want to apportion blame to anyone for the attack, as all Ibrahim Akaje craves for is peace, because peace is a prerequisite for the development of Ilorin and it's environs.
When the struggle of #Akajemyrep began, I made it known to my supporters and well wishers, that my campaign would be a 'Generational Shift Campaign', one which seeks to open the eyes of the youths, and emancipate them from misdeeds of the past - drug abuse, thuggery, cultism, and the sorts. Thanks to God Almighty, I was able to push some out of the trap of misdeeds whilst pulling others out.
As unfortunate as the recent happenings would be described, it's more unfortunate that it's our brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers, uncles and aunts, cousins and nephews, friends and associates etc that we find worthy of attacking, it's most unfortunate that the children of either Bukola Saraki nor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq wouldn't be cut in the tangles of this mess, we would have ourselves to blame in the end if we don't correct ourselves!
I urge us all to maintain peace and unity, orderliness should be kept, political affiliations isn't a declaration of war, support for a particular party or candidate shouldn't call for violence, we can all coexist peacefully with one another, no blood is worth whatever we are doing, a life lost can't be replaced and properties destroyed may never be recovered.
My admonition goes to the youths, they should believe in themselves, they should know that 'Youths can be more than thugs', we should be the 'brain tank' behind the campaign, and not the 'danger tank' of the campaign, if their children can't join you in carrying arms and ammunitions, then you should know it's not worth it. Your life and the life of their children is the same, and it's only one (1) life, there isn't duplicate.
Lastly, I urge parents to advise and admonish their children, politicians should talk to their followers, the security institutions in the State should be more vigilant, and bring perpetrators of violent acts to book, and the government should engage various stakeholders, for the smooth conduct of the elections.
Peace is sacrosanct, and Ibrahim Akaje supports violence free elections in Kwara State and Nigeria as a Nation!
