*Kwara State Commemorates International Day Against Drug Abuse And Illicit Drug Trafficking*
Yesterday, Wednesday 26th of June, the Kwara State First Lady Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq attended the grand finale programme of year 2019 United Nations International Day Against Drug Abuse And Illicit Drug Trafficking tagged “Health For Justice, Justice For Health” organised by the NDLEA in conjunction with the Kwara State Committee on Drug Abuse, which the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRaazaq is the grand patron.
The First Lady in her speech at the event held at the Banquet hall in Ilorin restated the commitment of the Kwara State Government in the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, it comes expected that the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) has designated Kwara as a pilot state to play a leading role in drug control in the North Central states including the FCT.
She therefore enjoined public spirited individuals, Corporate Organizations, Government and Non-governmental Organizations to join in the advocacy against the menace of drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
