Infrastructure: Okekere Community reconstructs deplorable state road

The hope of Omoda/Okekere residents in Ajikobi ward, Ilorin west local government was extremely high when AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq emerged as elected executive governor of kwara state but their situation still remain stagnant due to non present of government facilities in the area
The street which has been suffering from all social amenities like road, portable water, stable electricity, provision of adequate facilities to their cottage hospital and other infrastructures.
The areas which situated at nervous part of the state capital has been neglected by the last administration despite the involvement of the political actors such as two term governor of the state and senate president Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, two term House of Reps. Member, one term Senator and serving state minister of transportation, Sen Rukaya Gbemisola Saraki, the two term commissioner, speaker, immediate past chairman house committee on justice at lower chamber and Peoples Democratic party candidate at the just concluded election Hon AbdulRasaq Atunwa.
The former chairman Federal Character Commission, Alhaji AbdulRaheed Shuaib Oba, past and present chief of staff, S.As, P.As, Former Accountant General, and some serving political gladiators.
The situation of their road from Omoda/Okekere/Abeemi is deplorable and most motorists plying the road are always cry over the constant damage of their vehicle which accumulated to their high expenses.
Surprisedly, the road wore a new look on Saturday through communal efforts after government fail to discharge their constitutional right.
Though there's popular song that says, government can not do it alone, but what is the role of government in creating conducive environment for its citizens?. This is the appropriate period to awake government and shoulder it responsibilities.
The appropriate authorities should rise above people's expectations and provide adequate facilities that will put smiles to the life of ordinary citizens and proved that they are above all.
