Poverty Eradication Day :: Shagaya Foundation Calls For Support on Govt Drive To End Poverty.

Salman Shagaya Foundation founded by Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya wrote a short message on Facebook page in commemoration of the Poverty eradication day usually held on October 17 of every year.
Part of the statement reads; " Being a special day, the government should reason in unison on the need for concerted efforts to pull our people out of poverty. However, proper actions should follow suit. The increasing rate of poverty in the country should be given proper attention.
We are afraid the modern world are who they are because their citizens do not leave every problem at the doorstep of the government. Nigerians at all level should prioritise critical involvement on this cause.
The society would be better if well - meaning Nigerians would start individual advocacy and drive for self - sufficiency amongst our people to support the government efforts".
The Foundation also call on the beneficiaries of various social intervention initiatives to make judicious use of them.
