The total shutdown of Nigeria border has been playing a vital role on the lives of local producers, entrepreneurs and retailers.
The recent action by the federal government has significantly improve the sells of local processed rice and the item is flooding market across the country.
However, gesture which is expected to improve the economic situation of the country and to encourage local producers has been hijacked by retailers.
Recently, JUST EVENT ONLINE went round the markets in ilorin metropolis to conduct a vivid survey on the item discovered that some sellers are rebagging the rice with the foreign sack.
The price of Nigeria rice is very hike unlike before and the retailers are using the advantage to extort citizens
We call on government at all levels to stiff action of the sellers and moderate the price
